General Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 25 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply to all services provided by Marotori Limited, a company registered in England and Wales
(company number 04550966), registered office 6 Birch Close, Send, Woking, Surrey GU23 7BZ ("Marotori", "we",
"us"), to you, the customer.
By ordering a service or using your account you accept them. Some services have extra terms, shown when you
order; if they conflict with these, the service terms apply.
2. Your account
- Keep your contact details accurate and up to date: we send renewal, billing and security notices to them.
- Keep your login details safe. You're responsible for activity on your account. We recommend turning on
two-factor authentication.
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract.
3. Orders, prices and payment
- Prices are in pounds sterling and exclude VAT unless shown otherwise; VAT is added where it applies.
- Services are paid in advance. Recurring services renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel.
- We email an invoice about 14 days before each renewal. You can pay by card (Stripe), PayPal, Direct Debit
(GoCardless) or bank transfer.
- If an invoice is unpaid, we may suspend the service after 15 days and terminate it, deleting its data,
after 30 days. Domain names that aren't renewed expire under the registry's rules and may be lost.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal.
4. Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel any service from your client area. It stays active until the end of the period you've
paid for, unless you ask for immediate cancellation.
- If you're a consumer, you have 14 days from ordering to cancel and get a refund (Consumer Contracts
Regulations 2013). If you ask us to start the service within that time, we may deduct the value of the
service already provided.
- Domain registrations, renewals and transfers, and SSL certificates, can't be refunded once submitted to
the registry or certificate authority.
- Otherwise, payments are not refundable for part-used periods unless we've broken these terms.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use our services to:
- break the law, or store or send material that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or is abusive;
- send unsolicited bulk email (spam), or host phishing, malware or fraud;
- attack, probe or disrupt other systems or networks, including ours;
- use an unreasonable share of shared resources so that other customers are affected.
If a service breaks these rules or puts our systems or other customers at risk, we may suspend it straight
away. We'll tell you why and, where possible, give you the chance to fix the problem.
6. Domain names
- Domains are registered in your name and subject to the rules of the relevant registry (for example
Nominet for .uk, ICANN policies for .com).
- You're responsible for providing accurate registrant details and for renewing on time.
- You can transfer your domain away at any time, subject to registry rules and any unpaid invoices.
7. DNS hosting
- You're responsible for the records you publish. Changes usually take effect within a few minutes, but
other networks may cache old answers for longer.
- Only add zones for domains you own or are authorised to manage.
8. Your content and backups
- You keep all rights in your content. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to
provide the service.
- We take regular backups of hosting services, but they're for our disaster recovery and aren't
guaranteed. Keep your own copies of anything important.
- When a service ends, its data is deleted. Download anything you need before cancelling.
9. Availability and support
- We aim to keep services available at all times, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service.
Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible on our
network status page.
- Support is provided through tickets in the client area during UK business hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, excluding bank holidays).
10. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or
anything else that can't be limited by law.
- If you're a business customer, we aren't liable for loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, or for
indirect losses, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in that
period for the affected service.
- If you're a consumer, you have legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015; nothing here affects them.
11. Privacy
How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of significant changes by email or in the
client area; if you don't agree, you can cancel before they take effect.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you're a
consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms: contact us, or open a ticket from your
client area.
